Primary Care WA, the newly established central advocacy organisation for the primary health care sector in Western Australia, is pleased to announce the launch of its new website, www.primarycarewa.com.au.
Primary Care WA has been established following extensive consultation with primary health care organisations across the state, who indicated they seek an independent advocacy organisation, a united voice with other organisations to work together on strategic priorities that will build the capacity and capability of the primary care sector in WA.
The new website has been developed to assist Primary Care WA to advocate for and promote the primary health care sector in Western Australia and provide member organisations a channel to contribute to the collective voice of the sector.
Primary Care WA’s CEO, Ms Debra Salway said “Primary care organisations across the state recognise the opportunity that greater collaboration across the sector can achieve. Primary care WA for the first time will bring those organisations together with a collective voice. That is both exciting and very encouraging for the future of primary healthcare in WA.”
She said the website was the first of a series of Primary Care WA initiatives to encourage improved engagement, collaboration and information sharing across the primary health care sector.
The website will continue to be developed and will include a public member directory and member-only section for the benefit of Primary Care WA organisational members.
Primary health care organisations seeking information on the benefits of membership or how they may become involved are encouraged to visit www.primarycarewa.com.au.
End.
